NEW forms of Old Drugs

Palatability is the new CATchcry for medicating cats. At Last! And there is now a Compounding Pharmacy who is accommodating this important area. Even better, they can make some medications Transdermal so you can apply the tiny bit of cream to the inside of your cat’s ear. Yes, you have to wear gloves or you will have the drug affecting you! Not every medication works this way, so Ask Dr Kim next time you need a refill or any medication for your cat. It takes a few days to organise, so phone first 0400 756 331 if you are running out of your cat’s drugs.

Cats can get Swine Flu

However, they have not been found to pass it on to humans, and vaccination is not required. Much the same as Bird Flu and Hendra Virus - cats can be affected by the viruses but not carriers nor transmitters. In fact, earlier last century, with the original Flu Pandemic (the Spanish Flu), cats were often the last ones in a family to be affected. Sharing everything with us?
